Kanye West’s Yeezus tour stopped at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York this past Sunday to much fanfare. With his Air Yeezy 2 Red October sneakers floating around the audience, the Hypebeasts were spotted raising their red kicks in the air in honor of Yeezy. Well, for one lucky fan, Kanye lent his signature to the kid’s own pair. Jonathan Rodriguez hit Twitter and Instagram right after with a series of amped responses.
In a move that disappointed sneakerheads everywhere, Nike canceled the online release of Kanye’s Yeezy 2 “Red October” sneakers. On Dec. 27 — the day of the scheduled release — Foot Locker tweeted: “Unfortunately, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 will not be releasing via http://Footlocker.com on Dec 27. We have no further updates at this time.”
It had been rumored that Nike didn’t know what to do with the surplus of the Yeezy “Red October” shoes after Kanye walked away from their business deal.
