Why Weren’t These On The Red Carpet?

Dove grey is the perfect match for silver embellishments or layered lace. It’s got the best of both worlds: romantic in same way as white, but dramatic like black, grey is a happy medium.  From left: Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Alberta Ferretti.

From burnt bronze to gilt gold, metallic was all over the autumn/winter ‘14/’15 runways. It’s a standout way to add shimmer and sparkle. From left: Julien Macdonald, Jenny Packham, Naeem Khan, Marchesa and Oscar de la Renta.

The orange-red spectrum, from peach to tomato, is hard too perfect on the red carpet– but hey, you’re going to make an entrance anyway 😉 From left: Zac Posen, Zac Posen and Prabal Gurung.

In any of its many variations, think about pink; from blush to shocking pink, there’s no need to shy away from a feminine hue if you are working a nice tan of course 😉 Clockwise from top left: Jenny Packham, Ralph Lauren, Giambattista Valli and Valentino.

I’m not a fan of floral on the red carpet but a floral print, like this one from Valentino at the Elton John Party or at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party could be nice.
