Yogurt & Tea For Energy All Morning

Pair this meal with a cup of hot tea and you’ll have sustained energy all morning, I swear 🙂

1 cup whole dairy milk, coconut or almond yogurt
1 T raw, unsalted almond or other nut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp ground dried ginger
2 tsp maple syrup or molasses, or to taste
1/4 C granola, optional
1-2 T raw pumpkin seeds, optional

Put the yogurt into your favorite breakfast bowl. Add the nut butter and mix, or, if the nut spread is too thick to blend in, drop a spoonful on the rim of the bowl, and dab with each bite.

Stir in the cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and maple syrup. Top with the optional granola and pumpkin seeds.

Fresh Ginger Tea is more than just a hot drink, ginger tea is often called universal medicine in Ayurveda. It’s an incredible warm tonic that aids digestion, circulation, and overall vigor.

1 1/2 C water
1-inch fresh ginger root knuckle, sliced thin

Place the water and ginger in a small saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil. Boil for one minute, and turn off the heat. Let the ginger steep for 10 to 15 minutes, then strain. For a creamy treat, stir in 1 tablespoon of whole milk (from dairy, nuts, or seeds) and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup.
