I’m not one to like the over-the-top decor style of many of the super wealthy. I understand that it’s mostly to show-off the extent of their wealth.
I love real-estate and general home decor, and up until this very moment I thought I liked the clean-cut/minimal look to homes. Tommy Hilfiger changed all that with his stunning display of wealth through art (Warhol, Basquiat…).
Now I wonder; does the hefty price of this penthouse include the art and furnishings? If so, I want it now.
So here it is American fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger’s dramatic penthouse duplex within the historic NYC hotel.
It has been on the market since 2013, originally listed for $80 million. Apparently buyers aren’t having it, as the price dropped again last week. For a measly $58.9 mil, you can take in unparalleled views of Central Park, bathe luxuriously in one of the 4.5 baths, and traipse around over 5,000 square feet. The apparently cursed condo, however, just isn’t selling.
